Sony's First Stand-alone Blu-ray Player

Sony finally enters into the stand-alone Blu-ray arena with the release of it's first blu-ray player (dubbed BDP-S1). This player is able to play all flavors of discs---including store-bought, write-once, and rewritable media. This blu-ray player even has an HDMI output for viewing those ultra sharp HD images to your HDTV in 1080p format. Oh, this player can also play DVD's too. The going price for this player will set you back $1,000 bones!
