An Underwater Hotel--Coming Soon to a Lagoon!

Imagine having a hotel room with a view of the ocean. Now picture your room immersed in more than 40 feet of water, complete with a breath taking panoramic view of the ocean and it's tropical sea-life! And if a group of investors have their way, such a dream could be a reality. The locale of this hotel and underground live aquarium will be The Poseidon Mystery Island that is located in the Northern Lau group, in the northeastern section of Fiji. The 500-acre coral lagoon that surrounds the island has a depth of 90 feet, and the hotel will sit in about 40 feet of water and will boast individual suites as well as a library, a wedding chapel and a restaurant (no doubt this restaurant will be a five star offering). Additionally, guests will be able to scuba dive or take a cruise around the lagoon in either a 16-person submarine which is capable of 300-foot-depths. We can only surmise that with lofty plans like this, that such a hotel will be for the well-heeled and high-rollers of the world! No word yet as to when construction is suppose to begin on this man-made oasis nestled in mother nature's paradise!
